1. Overview

This policy explains what information LicenseLedger collects, why, and how it's handled. LicenseLedger is operated from Estonia and serves customers primarily in the United States.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, business name, and trade you select during setup.
• Tracked-item data: the license, insurance, permit, and certification records you enter, including any documents you upload.
• Billing information: handled directly by Stripe — we don't store your card details ourselves.
• Usage data: if product analytics is enabled, basic page-view and interaction data used to understand how the product is used.

3. How we use it

To provide the Service (storing your data, sending renewal reminder emails, processing payments), to respond to support requests, and to improve the product. We don't sell your data.

4. Third-party services we use

We rely on the following processors to run the Service. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and document storage.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Resend — delivery of renewal reminder and account emails.
• PostHog — product analytics

5. Data storage and security

Your data, including uploaded documents, is stored in a private database and file storage bucket that only your account can access. We use industry-standard access controls (row-level security) so that one customer's data is never visible to another.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your tracked items, renewal history, and uploaded documents are permanently deleted along with it.

7. Your rights

You can view and edit your information at any time from Settings, and delete your account (and all associated data) from the same page. If you'd like a copy of your data exported, or have another privacy request, contact us using the details below.

8. Cookies

We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. If product analytics is enabled, it may also set cookies to distinguish visitors; no advertising cookies are used.

9. International data transfers

We're based in Estonia (EU) and serve customers in the United States. Your data may be processed in either region by the providers listed above.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
